Urban Lounge Interiors worked alongside the Genera leadership team from the earliest planning stages, helping shape the brief before designing a purpose-built commercial workplace that reflects the organisation's commitment to innovation, sustainability and community. Existing furniture was thoughtfully repurposed wherever possible, complemented by sustainably sourced new furniture selections and natural planting that improves wellbeing while reinforcing the company's environmental values.

Rather than concealing the building's industrial character, the design celebrates it. Exposed concrete tilt panels, dramatic rooflines, black acoustic ceilings and architectural lighting establish a contemporary workplace with strong visual identity. At its heart sits an activated "main street" that connects collaborative meeting spaces, breakout areas, training facilities, coffee hubs and informal gathering places. Quieter work zones are carefully separated through considered spatial planning and acoustic treatments, allowing teams to move naturally between focused work and collaborative interaction.

The result is a flexible, high-performing workplace that reflects Genera's culture while supporting productivity, innovation and future growth through thoughtful commercial interior design.
