The holiday season approaches...
It's coming to that time of year where we start getting very excited about warmer weather and time with loved ones. It's also a good time to look back on the year and think about what we've achieved, and the special memories that we've created.
With this in mind, we've put together our team's delightful highlights below. We hope you enjoy the read and have made some special memories of your own this year.
Chantelle and Sam got married!
Chantelle and her new husband had the most amazing day with family and friends, celebrating their wedding day. The wedding was at her parents’ home in Whakamarama, Tauranga, and although the weather was not very kind, the day was "perfect and so beautiful".
The couple then spent some time up the Coromandel before flying to Hawaii for a two week honeymoon, where they spent many hours in the sun relaxing and exploring the local attractions.
Christine's Asian Adventure
Christine visited Asia in July to go to a wedding in Mongolia. While she was there, she took the opportunity to visit Beijing and walk The Great Wall - "It was a challenge in 40 degree heat!" She also went motorbiking through the streets of Shanghai in a classic sidecar.
Sally visits the beautiful Hawke's Bay
Sally recently spent a luxurious few days staying in one of the Black Barn Vineyards 'executive homes'.
She enjoyed samples at the Black Barn winery, perused other local winery’s, visited some local attractions and checked out the stunning sights.
Andy completed several local events this year, such as The Tauranga International Marathon, City to Surf, The Mauao Half-Marathon and Hamilton's Round the Bridges.
She grew up participating in events such as cross country and her Dad is also a runner, they run the short ones together while Andy competes in the longer races.
She enjoys it and finds it relaxing, but will be taking a break during the hot months and then tackling The Mauao Half again in March.
Karen climbed Mount Kilimanjaro!
Karen travelled to Tanzania, Africa in September, with 26 others from NZ, to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for a good cause. Their efforts raised over $150,000 for the Mental Health Foundation!
It was a tough climb, with 7 days of trekking (5 ½ days up and 1 ½ down). The final stint on the way up was 10 hours, leaving at night to reach the summit at dawn, just in time for the best sunrise. 26 of the team made it all the way, a great effort by all.
Sheree's Family milestones
Sheree has had a busy year. They built a new family home, which was completed just before they welcomed their gorgeous girl. Since then they have celebrated with family at her sister in law's wedding, and Sheree has returned to work. Sheree and her family are well and truly settled into their home now, and enjoying the summer sun and time at the beach.
